As a Church of England school, Collective Worship is often described as the heartbeat of the school.

It is the time we reaffirm and explore our distinctive Christian vision and values.

During the week we get together as a school family, key stage or individual class to recognise and celebrate the role every child and adult plays in the school community.

Collective worship is inclusive and invitational, it offers the pupils, staff and wider school community the opportunity to grow spiritually.

Below, illustrated by photographs, are some of the aspects of Collective Worship that make it special for us all.

During term 1, Acorn class are introduced to Collective Worship through their own special daily Worship time in their classroom before joining the rest of the school in the school hall in later terms.

They may have visits from our Worship Leaders or the clergy.

Collective Worship is supported by our Worship Leaders and during the year they may create and lead their own Worship for the school.

Each week a different member of the clergy visits and leads Worship in their style.

The Family Trust https://www.familytrust.org.uk/ visit through the year to deliver worship through their energetic style.

For one Worship each term Years 1-6 are offered the chance to select the style of Worship they would like to attend. This may be outdoor, reflective, story or singing Worship.

Celebration Worship.

During the week the children are able to add their prayers to the prayer box and these may be shared with the school during Celebration Worship. They are collected together in our Book of Prayers.

Each week the winners of the value awards announced in Celebration Worship are invited to a tea party with our Head of School.
