Once again we held our annual Remembrance Service for the local community.  Year 6 led the service and sang some traditional and modern songs for our visitors. The children in Year 6 spent a few weeks learning about war and the importance of remembrance, the children wrote a rang of poems and other texts to be used in the service.  They also produced some art work.

This year the whole school also made 3D clay poppies (like the 2014 Tower of London Poppies) which were placed in the churchyard on Thursday 10th November through to Sunday 13th November.  Parents were then invited to buy the poppies for £3 each, with all of the money raised going directly to The Royal British Legion.  We are pleased to say that we made £273 from these poppies.

Poppies and poppy merchandise was also sold in the school.  We raised a total of £290.51.

We are very proud to say that altogether we raised £563.51
